Dr. Weisenburger was born in Muskegon, Michigan in September 1952. His parents, Jack and Sally, eventually found their home with his 3 brothers in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan where they still reside.
In 1982 he graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathy in Kirksville, Missouri and 4 years later after receiving his General Surgery and ENT & Facial Plastics training in Michigan he moved to Crystal River, Florida. His new practice flourished in the small rural community where he practiced for over 20 years.
After some time, his love of the great outdoors, hunting and fishing brought him to Murphy, NC. He and his wife Rebecca, a registered nurse, visited the area frequently. They decided that western North Carolina is where they wanted to live and practice medicine. This rural tri-county area offered him a great opportunity. Because of his specialty, Dr. Weisenburger is now providing much needed medical services to a large geographic area.
